8 commentsNotes on the Phenomenon: encounters with strange beings
The late John Keel dubbed the capricious encounters with strange beings "the Phenomenon". At one time humans lived in a world of supernatural beings. Science eventually banished these as superstition but forget to tell the spirits, fairies and monsters. Some cases are outlined and a list of theories is given with comments on each theory. The possibility of multiple phenomena is also considered.

An allegedly 123 million year old relief map of the Ural regions in Russia has been reported. Known as the Dashka stone it is supposedly made using technology not available before its discovery. Various reports of the stone have been examined and an attempt made to contact the discoverer and the university at which he was a lecturer. The result of the investigation is that while the stone exists its provenance is unclear and the interpretation of the stone is not conclusive.
